Ann Higgins Kiltmaker is a family owned business, working from the scenic village of Dufftown in the heart of beautiful Speyside.

All of our Traditional Kilts are hand made by Ann herself, who served a five year apprenticeship with R.G. Lawries of Glasgow in the 1960's. Ann Higgins Kiltmaker moved to the Speyside area in 1989 and has been manufacturing Kilts for more than 30 years.

We estimate that the total number of kilts sewn by Ann is eight thousand.

We specialise in the Traditional Highland Outfit for Ladies, Gentlemen and dancers alike. We have satisfied innumerable customers including a host of celebrated Pipe Majors and bands, both home and abroad.

In the shop we also have a wide range of beautiful knitwear, Ladies kilted skirts, tartan dresses and trousers for children. In addition to the Highland wear, we stock an extensive range of gifts and an impressive collection of whisky miniatures.
